Erroll Garner News:

Erroll Garner's birthday on June 15th, 2006 also marks the 50th anniversary of his landmark all-time best selling album Concert By The Sea.

Also in current release is a home video DVD and VHS from Kultur Films, available in the U.S. and Canada. Titled Erroll Garner In Performance , it is a 72 minute video of Garner's live performances from the BBC-TV.

Concert impresario George Wein upon viewing the video noted: "I felt as if I was in the same room with Erroll. The joy he has in his playing reaches out to the audience." The DVD has 21 selections performed by Garner accompanied by Kelly Martin on drums and Eddie Calhoun on bass, with a photo gallery and special performance of Misty.

Garner's composition of Misty is one of 34 of his works in an anthology currently in release by Cherry Lane Music and Hal Leonard.

Garner has had a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame since 1960.
